Combat 4 Fitness is a fun 45 minute bootcamp style fitness workout which include elements of boxing, kickboxing and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

This style of workout is great for people of all fitness levels because the exercises and striking combinations are always changing, challenging your fitness and endurance. Combat 4 Fitness is based on an MMA fitness workout.

How does this benefit you?

MMA comprises of Boxing, Kickboxing and Grappling which requires strength, power, endurance and core making MMA fighters some of the fittest athletes in the world. This is accomplished throughout our 45 minute workout system, which is broken up into;

  • Warm Up – Cardio, Upper and Lower Body Strength and Core Conditioning 
  • Striking – Punches and kicks on focus mitts, Thai pads, heavy bags and grappling dummies 
  • Combo’s – Putting all the strikes together utilising your cardio, strength, endurance and core while using the strikes learnt. This creates an energising fitness workout with practical applications

The workout combines both aerobic and anaerobic exercises that will help maximize burning fat while also gaining muscle. 
This system of training allows the participant to burn more calories while increasing ones metabolism.

Combat 4 Fitness is an individual workout by adjusting the intensity level to best your own fitness level. We encourage everyone to start easy, to learn the exercises and techniques but once you know how Combat 4 Fitness works you can go faster and harder through the exercises and combinations, making it a more intense workout for you.

Is there any contact in Combat 4 Fitness?

  • There is no contact in Combat 4 Fitness except, NO except for contact with the Grappling Dummies, Focus Mitts, Heavy Bags  and Pads. Sometimes there will be a drill or combination with some contact but this is only for people who want to try it, if  you DO NOT want to contact with your partner then you do not need too. Some people want to learn to defend strikes so they may want to experience some contact, it’s not for everyone and thats ok, its completely up to the individual. Combat 4 Fitness is a workout  program designed for individuals to get fitter at their own pace. We want you to feel safe and have a good experience at all times.

Is Combat 4 Fitness a Martial Art?

  • Combat 4 Fitness is based on the training methods used by Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athletes. MMA athletes are considered to have some of the highest levels of fitness in the world. We have modified some of their training techniques to create a fitness program that will get people into the best shape without having to spar or fight.

I have never worked out before….is Combat 4 Fitness for me?

  • Yes. Unlike an aerobic class or other fitness classes where an instructor is leading a group of people through various exercises at a certain pace, Combat 4 Fitness allows everyone to go at their own pace. Our classes are fast and hard but we want you to start slow and build your fitness level and confidence. Our classes have a variety of people with different levels of experience, so we can easily pair you with someone who help guide you trough the class. 

What should I wear to class?

  • Wear comfortable and loose fitting workout clothes, (NO shoes) and if possible a pair of boxing gloves for hitting the pads and grappling dummy. You will also need your own pair of focus mitts (for hygiene purposes) a towel and a some water to maintain hydration throughout the workout. If you do not have focus mitts, thats ok we can lend you some freshly sanitised mitts for the first few sessions.

How long are the classes?

  • Combat 4 Fitness was designed to get maximum results in a short amount of time. The classes are 45 minutes long with breaks taken at regular intervals and if you need to catch your breath or more breaks, thats fine. Its normal to be nervous in your first class but everyone i friendly and helpful because they can remember what it was like when they first started training in Combat 4 Fitness.
